Why this route works
Many fans know Gangneung through coastal photo references, music-video-like scenery, and drama-style beach moods. The value of this route is that it turns those references into a balanced East Coast trip. Anmok Coffee Street gives an easy arrival point with sea views and cafes. Jumunjin and nearby beach areas work for fan photos and open coastal walking. Gyeongpo Lake adds a calm nature stop that makes the trip feel less like a quick photo run.
Because weather strongly changes the experience, the route is best treated as a two-day slow itinerary. If the sea is windy or rainy, cafes and indoor breaks keep the trip comfortable.
Suggested plan
Arrive by train, leave luggage near accommodation, and start with Anmok Coffee Street. Keep this first block simple.
Use Gyeongpo Lake or a beach walk for sunset. Avoid packing too many taxi transfers into the first night.
Visit Jumunjin or another coastal photo area when light is better and crowds are lower.
